Mercy Johnson-Okojie, a Nollywood actress, has expressed gratitude for being appointed as Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo.
In an Instagram post, Johnson-Okojie described the appointment as a call to serve, connect, listen, and advocate with purpose.
She stated that she would fulfil her responsibilities with humility, dedication, and a strong commitment to service, in accordance with the governor’s SHINE Agenda.
The actress went on to say that her focus would be on deepening civic engagement, strengthening public trust, and promoting people-centred governance, noting that the role is fundamentally about amplifying citizens’ voices and encouraging their participation in government.
She wrote, “I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, for placing his trust and confidence in me with my appointment as Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy.”
