Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared the story behind her well-known nickname, Omosexy.

She reportedly revealed this in an interview on Naija FM, where she discussed the origin of the name and the person who gave it to her. It was reported that she made this known during an interview on Naija FM, where she spoke about how the name started and who gave it to her.

The actress claims that neither her movie industry peers nor her admirers gave her the nickname. She claimed that the name was given to her by her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde.

Omotola clarified that her husband had given her a Lincoln Navigator as a present at the time. She claimed that he even went so far as to write the name ‘Omosexy’ on the number plate to personalise it. That was the origin of the name, which subsequently gained popularity among her followers and in the entertainment sector.

“The name Omosexy,” the interviewer enquired. Who gave you that name? Is that the name we give you? You give yourself that name, don’t you? Or do you get them from your co-family?

“Na, my honey boy gave me that name…He bought me a Lincoln Navigator that time. He put it for the plate number, you know; he wrote it there,” she emitted in response.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has been closely associated with the name Omosexy over the years, and it has become a part of her brand in Nollywood and elsewhere.
