    Wizkid First African to Hit 10 Billion Spotify Streams

    Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer who made history by being the first African musician to reach ten billion plays on the international music streaming service Spotify. Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has made history as the first-ever African artist to surpass ten billion streams on the global streaming music platform Spotify.

    The Ojuelegba crooner recently reached the 10 billion-stream milestone for all of his credits on the platform.

    With nearly 4 billion plays, his joint hit with British singer Tyla and Canadian superstar Drake is his most streamed song on the platform.

    With more than a billion plays on Spotify, his third studio album, “Made In Lagos Deluxe,” is his most streamed work.

    With over 333 million streams, “Essence” featuring Tems is Wizkid’s most streamed lead single.

    In the meantime, “Birds of a Feather” by American singer Billie Eilish has become the most streamed solo song by a female artist in Spotify history, surpassing “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I.

    Recently, “Birds Of A Feather” surpassed “Dance Monkey,” which has 3.3 billion streams, with 3.37 billion.
