After announcing that he no longer plans to date or marry a Nigerian woman, well-known TikToker Hamzat Habeeb, also known as Peller, has sparked social media reactions. Popular TikToker Hamzat Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, has stirred reactions on social media after declaring that he no longer intends to date or marry a Nigerian woman.
The remark came after he and fellow content creator Amadou Aminata, better known by his stage name Jarvis, recently broke up.
In a widely circulated video from one of his live sessions that OlamideØfficial posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Peller stated that his decision was influenced by his own experiences as well as an encounter he recounted with a woman from another African nation.
“I don’t break up, for example, but if I ever want a girlfriend or anything, it won’t be in Nigeria.
“IShowSpeed asked a man in a country he visited how many cows he would need to marry his daughter. That girl is really nice. The internet sensation declared, “I swear to Almighty God, the girl is very fine,” in his distinctive accent.
Peller continued to compliment the woman’s poise and manner, characterising her as calm and soft-spoken—qualities that he claimed caught his attention during their conversation.
He continued, “The girl was talking, she was cool, and she was calm.”
The content creator strengthened his position and stated unequivocally that he would no longer pursue romantic relationships with Nigerian women.
“I can never date a Nigerian woman again if I want a girlfriend. “I’ll travel to another African nation,” he declared, adding that his perspective had changed from Nigeria.
Since then, the comments have provoked heated online debates with sharply divided social media users.
While some condemned Peller for making generalisations about Nigerian women, others supported his right to personal preference, claiming that choices about relationships are arbitrary and influenced by personal experiences.
Recall that in December 2025, Jarvis ended his relationship with Peller, which resulted in another incident where he crashed his Mercedes-Benz on the Lekki-Epe Motorway.
Peller acknowledged that the relationship was over and detailed the emotional toll it had taken on him in a different livestream in January. He emphasised that he would prioritise himself in the New Year and disclosed that he had contacted Jarvis’ family to ask for forgiveness for his actions.
Additionally, he stated that he did not want girls around him, urging female viewers to dress appropriately and pleading for modesty during his livestreams.
