Kuti has been accused of using Wizkid’s name to gain clout after repeatedly criticising the Starboy boss and his fans in recent livestreams.
In a video, Kuti highlighted his accomplishments, stating that he performed 82 shows worldwide in the previous year, including sold-out shows in Australia, Europe, America, and Brazil.
Kuti emphasised his established international presence, challenging the notion that his career requires a revival.
He compared himself to Big Bird, claiming that the music industry is large enough for all artists to thrive.
He stated, “Some people believe I am attempting to use Wizkid to revive my career. When did my career die so that I could try to revive it? Last year, I performed 82 shows worldwide.
“I have sold out shows in Australia, Europe, America, and Brazil. People from all over the world enjoy my music. I call myself Big Bird because the sky is big enough for everyone. Because no matter how big you are, you cannot fill the entire sky.
“People whose careers need to be revived understand themselves. It’s not me.”
