Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, is a well-known Nigerian TikToker who has been accepted to a Lagos university to study law. Popular Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, has been admitted to a university in Lagos to study law.
In a video posted on social media on Saturday, he made the announcement and addressed those who had previously made fun of his educational background.
In the video, he was seen entering a building with a statue of justice standing at the entrance, and he implied that his enrollment signified a change in how people should view him.
Peller claimed to have been accepted into a “private university in Lagos”, but he would not reveal the name of the establishment.
“Everyone has been berating me for my lack of education, acting as though I’m the only one who hasn’t gone to college. Now that I’m in school, everyone should stop using social media.
As you can see, I’m currently studying law. You are no longer able to manipulate me. “I am aware of the law,” he continued.
The TikToker has reportedly been criticised online over the years, with some calling him “lousy and uneducated”.
Peller revealed plans to continue his education earlier this month, stating that part of the goal was to improve his “bad” spoken English.
The controversy surrounding American streamer IShowSpeed’s visit to Nigeria has also put him in the spotlight.
When Peller tried to approach IShowSpeed about a potential collaboration, the streamer’s security team stopped him.
