Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde recently opened up about a challenging period in her life, revealing that she struggled with anger during her younger years. She shared her experiences on the Afropolitan Show.
The actress explained that the difficulties her family faced in her childhood deeply affected her, leading to her angry reactions to life. Losing her father at a young age left her with many painful emotions that she didn’t know how to cope with at the time.
Omotola stated, “I used to be very aggressive. When I was younger, I had a lot of rage. Ever since my dad passed away, I haven’t been able to blame God because I had already committed my life to Christ. But inside, I was searching for someone to blame, and I was just angry at life. I often wondered, ‘Why me? Why did I deserve this?’
“Life became really difficult for us. I felt that it wasn’t fair, and I had very little patience. However, I have grown through maturity, my faith in God, and life experiences. That part of me seldom resurfaces now. It might come around once in a blue moon, and I truly hate that feeling.”
