Why I Apologised to Doris Ogala Publicly – Chris Okafor

Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry, stated that he apologised to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala under pressure.

Speaking at a recent church service, Okafor stated that he has decided to withdraw his apology to Ogala, who accused him of having a seven-year secret relationship with her.

He clarified that his apology was not directed at Ogala but rather to protect respected church leaders from being drawn into the controversy.

He initially resisted issuing an apology, believing it would be interpreted as an admission of wrongdoing.

“You lose a battle to win a war. I was under a lot of pressure from people around me to do things differently. I stated that what I am being asked to do is equivalent to accepting responsibility for actions I did not take.

“First and foremost, I apologised because the fathers of faith, Pastor Matthew and Bishop Abioye, were being dragged, which I did not want to happen.

“There is no single apology to that individual. There is no apologies for things I did not do or for people I have not met in person. “I knelt down for those fathers, not for any Jezebel anywhere,” he stated.

The cleric stated that he is now relying on legal proceedings to resolve the dispute.

“We have chosen the right course, and it will prevail,” he added.
