Actress Mercy Johnson recently shared updates about her personal and professional life on social media. The mother of four, who has been appointed as special adviser to the governor of Edo State, emphasised her focus on growth in various aspects of her life.
In an Instagram post, Johnson announced that she has written a book about puberty aimed at children aged 10 to 13. Additionally, she is currently studying functional medicine at the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine and has signed on as an ambassador for a new brand.
Expressing her gratitude for these opportunities, Johnson noted that this phase of her life is helping her manage multiple responsibilities effectively. She wrote, “Life lately… grateful & growing. I’ve been a little quiet here, but for good reason—I have been building, learning, and embracing new assignments.
“I recently wrote a book on puberty for children ages 10–13—a heartfelt project designed to guide young minds through one of the most significant transitions in their lives with clarity, confidence, and accurate information.
“I’m currently immersed in my studies in functional medicine at the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine. The journey has been intense but incredibly fulfilling. Expanding my knowledge in holistic health is not merely academic; it is driven by purpose.
“I’m excited to have signed on as an ambassador for a new brand (more details to come). It’s always an honour to represent values and a vision that align with my own.”
In her role as special adviser on public engagement and advocacy to Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, she reiterated her commitment to service and making an impact. She added, “I’ve also taken on a new responsibility as special adviser on public engagement and advocacy to His Excellency, the executive governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo. This role is one that I approach with a deep commitment to service, impact, and meaningful change. Amidst it all, I’m still a proud wife and a devoted mother, balancing purpose with family and growth with grace.
“This season is stretching me, refining me, and reminding me that we can wear many hats and still wear them well, to the glory of God.” Here’s to growth, service, impact, and showing up fully.”
