Yoruba Nollywood actress cum filmmaker Ashabi Simple has accused Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, of exploiting her due to her younger age.
According to reports, Ashabi revealed this in a YouTube interview with Oyinmomo TV. It was reported that Ashabi made this known during an interview on Oyinmomo TV on YouTube.
When asked whether Portable had promised to marry her, Ashabi responded that if he hadn’t, she wouldn’t have dated the singer.
Despite his controversial lifestyle, Ashabi described the Zeh Nation label boss as a caring individual and said she saw positive career growth after meeting him.
Portable has ten children, the actress said, emphasising that they are no longer together because she needed to determine whether she could succeed on her own without him.
“Portable changed me; he saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it, and he used to be a caring person,” Ashabi Simple said in part while speaking in Yoruba. I have two of Portable’s ten children, all of whom are 32 years old.
Ashabi declined to provide a definitive answer when asked if she could return to the singer.
Ashabi Simple added that she chose a polygamous marriage because her work did not permit her to spend time with her spouse.
