Adeji Adeleke, the father of Nigerian singer Davido, has denied paternity claims by 12-year-old Anuoluwapo against his son. The father of Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, Adedeji Adeleke, has dismissed the paternity claims by a 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo, against his son.
Adeleke says the girl is not Davido’s child.
According to reports, the singer’s father announced on Wednesday during a press conference in Lagos.
According to him, five DNA tests were performed to verify the paternity claim, but all of them came back negative.
Adeleke believes Anuoluwapo has the right to know her father, despite Davido’s refusal to accept responsibility for a child he does not have.
Despite the negative DNA results, Davido’s father has revealed that he has always provided financial support for the girl.
Adeleke revealed that he frequently sends money for Anu’s school fees and living expenses and that her aunt always sends receipts back to him whenever the money arrives, as well as proof of purchases for the 12-year-old.
According to the businessman, Davido is unaware of his efforts to support Anu and maintain contact with her aunt.
“I didn’t discuss it with David or anyone,” he stated.
Anuoluwapo, the alleged daughter of singer Davido, has recently requested a DNA test to confirm her identity.
She made the request public on her Instagram page, posting a photo of herself alongside a message about starting school after the holidays and entering her adolescence.
Davido denied the allegations, citing multiple DNA tests that confirmed he is not her father.
He stated that the situation should be resolved and urged Anu and her mother to stop involving him, insisting that they look elsewhere for her biological father.
