Bella Okagbue, a Big Brother Naija reality TV star, has addressed the controversy surrounding the end of her relationship with Sheggz.
It was reported that Bella addressed the situation on her Instagram story after seeing various accounts of what allegedly happened between her and Sheggz circulated on social media.
She explained that she had deliberately kept quiet because she considered certain aspects of the relationship to be private and did not want them made public.
The reality star said her decision to remain silent should not be interpreted as an admission of guilt.
She maintained that she was honest about her feelings throughout the relationship and defended it because she truly believed in what they shared.
“For the past few days, I’ve been watching others tell my story for me. I remained silent because I believed some things deserved to be kept private, but my silence should never be misinterpreted as guilt. I loved genuinely. I defended the relationship because I believed in it at the time, and I chose to give someone I cared about another chance because I believe people can change and grow.
“On marriage and the ring, let me be clear: wanting to marry someone you love is not desperation. Knowing when not to marry someone requires discernment. Walking away can take more courage than staying. A ring does not address the root cause of a relationship’s failure. One hundred promises. She wrote, “Not one fulfilled.”
