Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has disclosed that he is in the process of ending his marriage as part of a plan to marry more than one wife.

According to reports, the film producer revealed this at a watch party for his most recent movie, where he candidly discussed marriage, family life, and the impact of his upbringing. It was reported that the movie producer made this known during a watch party for his latest film, where he spoke openly about marriage, family life, and the influence of his background.

Afolayan clarified that the divorce case is currently pending in court and that he is prepared to deal with any challenges that may arise.

He claimed that the relocation is essential to leading the kind of married life he envisions.

The veteran attributed his perspective to his upbringing, mentioning that his late father was a polygamist who had ten wives and twenty-five children.

He added that he is his father’s seventh child and that his own life and career are linked to that family environment.

The director claimed that his father’s life had a profound influence on who he is today, including his achievements in the film industry and projects bearing his name.

Afolayan also encouraged men to consider having more than one partner during the conversation, stating that creating a long-lasting family line and continuity should be important to them.

“I am in and out of court seeking a divorce,” he stated. The toll doesn’t bother me. I can now marry many wives.

“Neither Kunle Afolayan nor KAP Village would exist without my father. My father had ten wives, so I am his seventh child.
