KWAM 1, Dami, the daughter of Fuji maestro King Wasi Ayinde Marshall, has denied reports that she was romantically involved with Nigerian singer Asake.

After posting a photo of themselves at an event, Dami and Asake reportedly recently ignited relationship rumours.

The Instagram picture “Mr Money and Mrs Money,” which raised rumours of a romantic relationship, was captioned by Dami.

In a Monday post on her Instagram page, Dami, however, denied the rumours that she was dating Asake.

She clarified that the photo was taken during her initial encounter with the singer.

“Guys, I took a picture because it was my first time meeting him [Asake],” she wrote. Never trust blogs because they can do anything to increase traffic.

After splitting from his girlfriend in the Gambia, Madame Mystique, in 2014, Asake has not been seen in public since.

Afrobeats icon Wizkid has also stated that he would like singer Asake to play at his wedding.

He reportedly talked with DJ Tunez during a recent appearance on Apple Music radio.

Wizkid revealed that Asake’s songs have had a profound effect on him, with “Remember” being his favourite song.

Wizkid lauded Asake’s contribution to African music and called him one of the continent’s most gifted vocalists.

Asake’s music has long been a personal favourite of his, he said, adding that he hopes to hear one of his songs played at his wedding.
