Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu has revealed that his daughter experienced bullying while attending Queens College, Lagos, because she was known as his child.

It was reported that the incident occurred while she was in Junior Secondary School 1.

Udokwu, 58, stated that he and his wife chose to send their children to public schools so that they could grow up normally, despite his celebrity status.

In an interview with Chude, he mentioned that some senior students would target his daughter simply because of her relationship with him.

He said he avoided confronting the students directly to avoid distractions, instead letting his daughter handle the situation.

The actor admitted that while his daughter can now laugh about the experience, it was difficult for her as a young student at the time.

Udokwu also discussed raising his children in a regular school setting to ensure they had a normal upbringing.

He explained, “I have a good family. My children are grown now. It’s popular to be born and see your father. And growing, despite all the inconveniences.

“When my daughter was at Queens College, some senior students simply punished her for being my daughter.” Today, when we discuss it, she will laugh. But it wasn’t funny. She was in junior secondary school.

“I didn’t want to be in their face, so I wouldn’t distract them. We agreed that they would attend public school because I did as well.

Bob-Manuel Udokwu attended St Peter’s Primary School in Enugu before continuing his education at Oraukwu Grammar School in Anambra State.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.

He began acting in 1992 with the film Living in Bondage, which is credited with shaping Nigeria’s modern film industry.

He is the Anambra State Governor’s special assistant for entertainment, tourism, and culture.
