Nollywood actress and reality star Beverly Osu claims that her extensive involvement in the entertainment industry should have already made her a billionaire in every African currency. She shared this perspective during her appearance on the ChaCha’s Couch podcast.
Beverly expressed her belief that, given her hard work in various roles—ranging from luxury model to video vixen, reality TV star, and now actress—she deserves to be a billionaire by now. She lamented that she had been underpaid throughout her career.
“I have worked so hard; my portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire, not just in Nigeria but across Africa. I consider myself a very humble person, but I am confident that my achievements warrant billionaire status. Therefore, I am fighting for better wages. I have explored different facets of the entertainment industry, and I have paid my dues,” she stated.
In related news, veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde revealed that her commitment to personal values has held her back from becoming a billionaire. She shared this insight while appearing as a guest on the Afropolitan Show.
According to Omotola, throughout her career, she was presented with lucrative deals that could have brought her significant financial rewards. However, accepting those offers would have required her to compromise her principles. She often walked away from opportunities that conflicted with her beliefs, even when the financial incentives were tempting.
Choosing to remain true to herself has provided her with rewards that she believes cannot be measured in monetary terms. Omotola noted that she has faced these choices numerous times and has stayed firm in her decisions, even as those who offered the deals continue to observe her career today.
