Crayon, a Nigerian singer, has sparked speculation about a possible exit from Mavin Records after publicly criticising label boss Don Jazzy on social media.
In a series of 𝕏 posts, Crayon criticised Mavin Records’ leadership, including its COO, Tega Oghenejobo.
Crayon mocked Don Jazzy, writing, “Don Jazzy is my boy!!!!! Una is mad!!” “Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333”, before turning to Tega with a harsher remark, “Tega, the highest criminal!!!!”
He also claimed that the label caused him to lose his mother, but he did not go into detail.
In May 2019, Crayon, who was signed to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, threatened the label, stating, “Mavin is going down”
However, it is unclear whether Crayon’s 𝕏 account was compromised, as he has continued to post on Instagram without indicating that it was hacked.
In an Instagram post, the singer also revealed details about what appears to be a new venture called Olodum Entertainment, as well as a new booking email address.
Meanwhile, there is speculation online that Crayon’s recently released song “Baami” is now listed under the Olodum Entertainment imprint rather than the Mavin Records label.
