Francis Duru, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has denied social media rumours that he has a serious illness.

Fans, coworkers, and well-wishers reportedly became concerned after a video of the actor appearing feeble and ill appeared online.

As soon as the video went viral on social media, many people began to wonder about the actor’s health.

The 56-year-old actor called the allegations untrue and deceptive in a video that was uploaded to his Instagram page on Friday.

He insisted that he is in good health and claimed to have never had the type of illness depicted in the widely shared video.

According to Duru, the video was made on purpose to disseminate untrue information about him.

He claims that some people use deceptive and negative content to draw attention and boost internet traffic without thinking about the effects such actions have on the individuals involved.

“I am making this video about very wicked videos circulating about me being sick to the level that you could see in that video,” he stated. I’ve never been that ill, and I never will be. And we continue to grow stronger by God’s grace.

“Those who sit and create negativity for people are the merchants of darkness and wickedness who created that video. Simply put, you don’t want people to rise.

“You simply don’t think that people can succeed while driving.” And if AI or social media were all about this. Then we really are in serious trouble.

However, I just wanted to let you know that I am speaking to you. They are responsible for anything beyond this. However, I think God will soon make contact with the men who are doing this.

“Don’t let the witch live.” My friends who have called me out of embarrassment or fear, as well as those who call merely for the purpose of calling, please let me know if this is true.

“Well, this is who I am. “Let me just post this short video to let you know that anything beyond this is something from somewhere,” I said.

After getting married to Adokiye in 2003, Duru experienced a personal tragedy in August 2024 when his son Ifeanyi passed away.
