He reportedly mentioned this in a recent livestream chat with streamer Cater Efe.
He claimed to have focused on himself and developed personally during his time away from the music business.
He claims that after taking a step back to better understand his life and direction, he has now resumed his musical career.
“I have been on the mountain,” he declared. I embarked on a voyage of self-discovery. However, I have returned.
YCee also mentioned that, despite not being a practising Muslim, his stage name, “Omo Alhaji”, originated from his father’s Muslim heritage.
He went on to say that love serves as his personal compass in life.
YCee gained popularity throughout Nigeria before his break thanks to songs like Jagaban, Juice, and Omo Alhaji.
In other news, Nigerian musician Michael Adebayo, better known by his stage name Ruger, has taken a hiatus from performing due to a legal issue involving his ex-girlfriend.
