Nancy Isime, a well-known Nigerian actress, has talked about how a significant shift in her family’s financial circumstances forced her to begin working at a young age.
During an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, the actress disclosed that she had a privileged upbringing and was born into a cosy home.
She claims that although her father had a period of financial success, the family’s situation later changed.
Nancy reportedly clarified that she had always been committed to creating a prosperous life for herself in spite of the setback.
She claimed that her aspirations were never deterred by the loss of her family’s previous wealth. Rather, the encounter inspired her to put in more effort and take charge of her future.
The actress revealed that she started working when she was just 17 years old.
She claimed that from a young age, she was certain that she wanted a comfortable and financially secure life and that hard work was the only way to get there.
Nancy recalled that one of the reasons she developed a strong work ethic was the shift in her family’s circumstances.
She concentrated on making opportunities for herself and following her dreams rather than lamenting what had been lost.
She added that her perseverance eventually caused her to relocate to Lagos, where she started pursuing professional opportunities and striving for the life she had always envisioned for herself.
“I was born with the silver spoon and I lost it,” she declared. At one point, my dad was fairly wealthy, but things changed. I’ve always known that I wanted a job. I’m positive that I’m going to have a nice life, make a lot of money, and appear wealthy, so you know what? Let’s strive for it.
