Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, is a Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress who has vowed not to wed a Nigerian.

She reportedly said this in a recent podcast appearance.

Speaking during the conversation, Cuppy clarified that her choice was influenced by a prior encounter with someone more eager to meet her father than to develop a sincere bond with her.

She emphasised that she frequently questions the motives of some men who approach her because of this experience.

“I’ll never be able to wed a Nigerian. It’s not feasible. I was asked when he could meet my dad by the last person I dated. They didn’t seem to like me at all. My father just wants me to get married; he doesn’t even care who I marry. I’m thrilled for Temi and Eazi because of this,” she said.

DJ Cuppy, meanwhile, has talked about her dating experiences and how they influenced her current partner choice.

Cuppy reportedly revealed that she had met and dated a variety of men over the years in a conversation with ZeZe Millz.

The 33-year-old claims that she has experimented with relationships with men from various backgrounds, such as a bus driver, a model, and a football player.

She added that she once paid around £400, or more than ₦700,000, to sign up for one of the dating apps, which she claimed were responsible for many of these connections.

Cuppy claimed that her perspective on relationships has evolved over time, particularly since her younger sister Temi Otedola married singer Mr. Eazi.

She clarified that she now prefers a calm, straightforward partner who works a regular job and avoids social media because she is no longer interested in complex relationships.

“I’ve dated all kinds of men, but now all I want is a simple 9–5 man without social media,” she stated. I once paid £400 to join a dating app where I met a bus driver.

Her previous relationships have frequently been made public. In 2022, she became engaged to British boxer Ryan Taylor, but their relationship ended quickly. Asa Asika, a music executive, has previously been connected to her.
