American rapper Nicki Minaj has discussed why she no longer attends church, citing the hectic nature of her music career as the reason.
She appeared in a recent Bryce Crawford podcast episode.
The singer reportedly clarified that her work schedule became hectic as her career took off, particularly with performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
She frequently feels too exhausted on Sunday mornings to go to church services as a result.
The 43-year-old claimed that her decision was not the result of a shift in her beliefs or a lack of concern for her faith. Rather, it was mostly because of the demands of her work as a performer, which requires her to spend most of her weekends.
She claimed she still believes in God and has a close relationship with Him despite no longer regularly attending church.
Additionally, Nicki revealed that she is still on her spiritual journey and that she is making an effort to develop in her own unique way.
“I stopped going to church when my career took off because I was always working on Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings became difficult,” she stated. “But I still believe in God, I have a relationship with Him, and I’m trying to stay consistent even though it’s not always easy.”
