Kris Asimoye, the wife of well-known Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma, revealed that her husband counselled her against changing her name after marriage.
The businesswoman revealed this on Instagram. She and her comedian husband have three children together.
She admitted that at the time, she did not completely comprehend the rationale behind his advice.
But because she can establish her company brand under her name, Asimoye claimed that she now completely understands her husband.
“My husband encouraged me not to change my last name when I got married,” she wrote. At the time, I was not entirely sure why.
“Now that Kris Asimonye is a brand, I fully understand.”
